Keiji Inafune Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z Yosuke Hayashi Team Ninja

Keiji Inafune sits down and discusses his latest game, Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z with Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi. For those that are not familiar, Inafune is the co-creator of Capcom’s Mega Man, having produced several games in the series along with creating the Dead Rising franchise. This video gives you an insight into the concepts and work flow of the experienced Inafune, a rare opportunity.

The 2 game designers answer questions about Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z chosen by the Team Ninja staff. It goes over the process of making the cybernetic zombie ninja game with US developer Spark Unlimited in conjunction with Team Ninja and Inafune’s Comcept.

Here’s what we learned about Yaiba

  • It’s based in the Ukraine, although it may end elsewhere
  • Development is going well
  • Interested in community feedback from the preview
  • Cyborg arm will be tied in to the gameplay system. Although no specifics about it were revealed, they expressed that pretty much anything could be done with it in terms of game design.
  • The game is targeted for an M rating. When asked if the story will have “sexiness” in it, he joked about Tecmo Koei’s reputation for sexy women and their breasts.

As you can see, they’re very interested in user feedback based on the preview and information available. You can interact with them via the Team Ninja twitter.

DeadOrAlive5BoobEnhancementPatchJokeEasterEggTeamNinja

Yes, you read correct! Team Ninja, in their lastest patch update for DOA 5, added in a secret little easter egg (as well as improve the overall gameplay.) The easter egg for Dead or Alive 5 is obviously going to be something including breasts. Ahhh, Team Ninja. In this Easter Egg when you win a fight you can shake your PS3 controller to…. You guessed it… Shake the girl’s boobies around..! Although myself as a female, I must say the bouncing is much much more realistic than in other Dead Or Alives. (DOAX2 physics anyone?)  However as much as I try. I can’t seem to make my boobs bounce without moving? Weird. It seems gravity must be broken in real life, or possibly in the game? Oh, damn those gravity defying breasts! Seemingly the boob control is so amazing someone even made a 6-minute video on youtube just for boob-erific enjoyment. I burst out into laughter at this one, but it’s also known that now I must test the feature next time I play. And don’t forget to remember all these boob enhancements are just for fans as Yohei Shimbori stated back in September of 2012. Team Ninja, please don’t forget to add some free clothes next time, too. You can download 1.03A patch for DOA 5 on Sony Playstation Network, and for those with Xbox360 it should hopefully, be out soon.

Here is the six minute video of Dead or Alive 5′s 1.03A patch Easter Egg

I have a quick message to Team Ninja and fans alike..
What I think they should do is add in a character creation mode. It would be so rad to do! I mean, give the character creation mode the ability to ‘enhance’ body features like oh I don’t know… Bust, waist, hips, and heights? Give a variety of faces and what not. I was so happy back when Namco’s Soul Calibur 3 added character creation, and the only good part to Soul Calibur 5 is the character creation (and all of the wonderful body types and customization). Think about how amazing it would be to create your own DOA girl. Come on Team Ninja… Throw in character creation for all your darling fans?

With Nintendo’s Wii U launch around the corner we thought it would be a good idea to put together a list of Wii U games we’re excited for. It’s a bit premature to say these are the “Top Wii U Games” in general, but these certainly look promising. We’re including games that are coming out during the holiday season too.

LEGO City: Undercover
TT Fusion / Nintendo

Roam the streets of Lego City as an undercover cop. Finally, the kids version of Grand Theft Auto. No longer do you need to be ashamed of using and killing hookers in San Andreas. Now you can be one of the good guys and use the Wii U‘s controller as a crime busting tool in the open world adventure.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge
Team Ninja / Tecmo Koei

Ninja Gaiden 3 disappointed much of its hardcore fan base. This was due to overly simplified gameplay, automated action sequences, and reduced difficulty. All of these are things that Team Ninja is addressing and acting on based on player feedback.

2 ZombiU
Ubisoft Montpellier / Ubisoft

Killing zombies, online multiplayer, gear scavenging and more make ZombiU a game to watch. We’re really excited to see how the Wii U controls work in an FPS.  With the Wii U controller, you’ll be able to experience something similar to PC gamers who have multiple screens with a map open no one screen and the game running in the other.

1 Nintendo Land
Nintendo / Nintendo

Although it’s almost dissapointing placing this game in the #1 slot, it does look the coolest overall thanks to almagamation of various Nintendo IPs including the beloved Metroid series. We’re excited to see how the variety of games feel and play, especially the ones based on Nintendo’s less sequel heavy franchises.

Quite a few exciting titles. Look forward to more Wii U coverage as it becomes available.

Wii U release date: November 18, 2012
