Rumors have surfaced regarding Xbox 720 (Durango/Xbox Next) and Playstation 4 (PS4/Playstation Omni) hardware upgradeability. Unconfirmed sources have found details that the next generation of consoles could be upgradeable thusly extending their generational life. Square Enix’s next gen engine is called Luminous Engine and it was shown off to the world earlier this year in a demo video called Agni’s Philosophy – FINAL FANTASY REALTIME TECH DEMO. More footage has surfaced, this time demonstrating the character models and showing how you can tune certain graphical settings. It’s kinda surprising to see well selling, AAA games drop in price. Especially massive titles like Microsoft & 343 Industries‘ Halo 4. But it’s true… retailers including Amazon & Gamestop have reduced the price to just $39.99 which is nice to see.
