Steam: Not just for games anymore

Coming September 5th, Valve’s Steam service will begin distibuting general software, in addition to its game service. Since Steam is already the largest distibuter of computer games, just imagine that power for the general programmer.

Basically, this now means that everyone who develops any kind of software, should look at getting into Steam now.
