In 1994 Banpresto released Dragon Ball Z V.R.V.S. on the Sega’s System 32 arcade platform. This game featured a unique perspective from other fighting games, and showed the battle from behind your character facing toward your opponent. It was a 3d like experience, with drawn anime animations, instead of sprites, and featured full flight combat. The controls for each player were 3 buttons and their trusty joystick.
You could say that this was something like a prototype for today’s “Raging Blast” DBZ games.
This game featured Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Future Trunks. It also featured an original character named Ozotto as the final boss.
