With Nintendo’s Wii U launch around the corner we thought it would be a good idea to put together a list of Wii U games we’re excited for. It’s a bit premature to say these are the “Top Wii U Games” in general, but these certainly look promising. We’re including games that are coming out during the holiday season too.
4 LEGO City: Undercover
TT Fusion / Nintendo
Roam the streets of Lego City as an undercover cop. Finally, the kids version of Grand Theft Auto. No longer do you need to be ashamed of using and killing hookers in San Andreas. Now you can be one of the good guys and use the Wii U‘s controller as a crime busting tool in the open world adventure.
3 Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge
Team Ninja / Tecmo Koei
Ninja Gaiden 3 disappointed much of its hardcore fan base. This was due to overly simplified gameplay, automated action sequences, and reduced difficulty. All of these are things that Team Ninja is addressing and acting on based on player feedback.
2 ZombiU
Ubisoft Montpellier / Ubisoft

Killing zombies, online multiplayer, gear scavenging and more make ZombiU a game to watch. We’re really excited to see how the Wii U controls work in an FPS. With the Wii U controller, you’ll be able to experience something similar to PC gamers who have multiple screens with a map open no one screen and the game running in the other.
1 Nintendo Land
Nintendo / Nintendo
Although it’s almost dissapointing placing this game in the #1 slot, it does look the coolest overall thanks to almagamation of various Nintendo IPs including the beloved Metroid series. We’re excited to see how the variety of games feel and play, especially the ones based on Nintendo’s less sequel heavy franchises.
Quite a few exciting titles. Look forward to more Wii U coverage as it becomes available.
Wii U release date: November 18, 2012
