Konami posted a video on their youtube channel showing the process of constructing the life size bust of Zone of the Enders’ Jehuty. It starts off as a big white block of what appears to be styrophone and ends up a glorious mecha statue. The statue was erected in Akihabara district in Tokyo to celebrate the release of the Zone of the Enders HD Collection as part of an ad campaign called Zone of the Enders Reboot Project.
The bust was up from October 26th and taken down on November 4th. For those of you who’ve just sighed in disappointment, the good news is it will be it’s back up. But in a different location. Now you can find it in the Leisureland arcade located in Palette Town, a shopping mall in Odaiba, Tokyo, Japan. Fans of Zone of the Enders will also be able to play a demo of Zone of the Enders HD Collection and check out some ZOE advertisements.
