Just over a year ago, Id Software‘s action adventure FPS RAGE came out for consoles and PC. Although it had a rocky start on PC‘s, it received critical and fan praise. It’s my personal favorite game of 2011. Fans were promised DLC and the good people at Id Software & Bethesda have finally come through. The good news is that it seems to be worth the wait. Not only are RAGE players getting a new adventure that includes 6 new areas, new Mutant Bash TV levels, minigames and the addition of a new weapon, the Nailgun. They’re also getting a new difficulty for the original game as well as the ability to go back and explore the world more after you beat it. This DLC will add an immense amount of replay value to the game.
Check out the RAGE DLC feature list below…
- Brand-new adventure spanning six all-new areas
- New season of Mutant Bash TV
- New mini-games
- New weapon, the overpowering and brutal Nailgun
- Ultra-Nightmare, a new high difficulty mode
- Extended Play Option, allows you to play past the original ending of the game
- New enemies

Based on an official tweet in response to a fan, Id Software says the DLC is a continuation of the RAGE story taking place after the game’s ending. Interestingly, the Scorcher clan was originally going to be in RAGE but was likely left out due to time constraints. You can learn about them on the Rage Wikia.
Get it today December 18th, 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for on $4.99 (or 400 Xbox points).
