Even though we all saw it coming, Hideo Kojima has officially announced Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. He also said that Ground Zeroes is part of Metal Gear Solid 5, although they appear to still be 2 different games. Kojima revealed Metal Gear Solid 5 with a 5 minute video which shows us some brand new scenes.
You can watch the 5 minute MGS5 video shown at GDC below…
We’ve also captured a few stills to let you examine the detail of the FOX Engine and MGS5…
Metal Gear Solid 5 is designed to be an open world game. Obviously, judging by the trailer, that doesn’t mean that story and visual fidelity will sacrificed. If anything, this looks to be one of the most complex and beautiful looking Metal Gear’s to date. Konami officially announced MGS5 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It is understood that the above demo is running on PC hardware, therefor it is a possibility that it could make it on to PC and possibly next gen consoles like PS4.
