Cover Art: Super Metroid (Super Famicom)

Nintendo’s in-house developed Super Metroid was a hit when it was released on the SNES in 1994. Today we’ve got the Japanese Super Metroid box art for the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo, the Super Famicom. The cover depicts Samus Aran fighting the Metroids, although it is illustrated differently than the US artwork.

Covert Art: GhoulsN’ Ghosts (Sega Genesis)

Capcom’s sequel to Ghosts’n Goblins, GhoulsN’ Ghosts gave gamers more of everything they loved from the original. It was released in arcades in 1988 and then got ported to other consoles, including the US Sega Genesis in 1989.

Cover Art: Ballistix (Amiga)

Released in 1989 on Amiga and Atari ST. It was published by Psyclapse (hence the big lettering at the bottom) and was developed by Martin Edmondson (Shadow of the Beast, Driver) and his company Reflections Interactive. They’re now owned by Ubisoft under the name Ubisoft Reflections.
