Today, Konami & Kojima Productions announced that its new Metal Gear title, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, will not be coming out on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in Japan. The Platinum Games developed title starring Raiden will only be released on PS3 in the land of the rising sun. Konami apologized for it, stating that it was due to various reasons. In an article today, Japanese website CinemaToday.jp has stated that Paul W.S. Anderson, director of the Resident Evil series of films, is planning production of a movie based on the game series Monster Hunter. Interestingly, both the Resident Evil and Monster Hunter franchises are owned by Capcom.
