Today at a PAX 2012 event in Seatttle, Metal Gear Solid mastermind, Hideo Kojima, presented about 14 minutes worth of Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes gameplay.
If this video is truly all rendered in real time, then the FOX ENGINE sets forth some serious competition for graphics engines all over the world. Look out id Software & Epic. Konami and Kojima Productions have created an engine that is easily on par with everything else available today. They say it was designed for current generation PC specs in addition to PS3 and Xbox 360. Kojima also says that the engine will also offer better features for future computer hardware.

Kojima also gave some details about the new MGS… he says that Ground Zeroes is a prequel to Metal Gear Solid 5. So there you have it, confirmation that MGS 5 is still in the pipeline… and that Ground Zeroes is not Metal Gear Solid 5. The video depicts a man with a burned face giving a tape to a kid in a cage. Then he flys away on a helicopter. Later in the video, Snake aka Big Boss appears climbing a cliff. Eventually it cuts to real gameplay, where you can see how great looking the game is along with some of the open world gameplay.
And did we mention the graphics are quite stunning?
