Welcome to our 10 podcast… We discuss our hopes and thoughts about id Software’s upcoming Doom 4. Actually, discuss is really being used loosely. We violently argue and tear each other apart over what we hope Doom 4 will be like.
We go over some topics such as the Doom 4 music, Doom 4 multiplayer and Doom 4 maps.
Although not as iconic as the PC DOS artwork for Doom, the Playstation version of Doom had some pretty bad ass art.
As a whole, this port of Doom is considered inferior although it had some minor graphical upgrades such as colored lighting. Otherwise, larger levels were cut or modified to fit the technical limits of the PS1 along with reduced quality textures.
John Carmack and crew have been hard at work since the release of Rage last year. Despite high reviews for consoles and mixed PC reviews due to some technical issues, Rage enjoyed moderate success and showed the world that id Software is still capable of wearing the crown for King of FPS’s.
