Canadian indie game developer Brian Provinciano posted the above on his Twitter account. This is interesting for 2 reasons. 1 it confirms that official Wii U developers get a free copy of Unity Pro (worth at least $1,500). The other being that Retro City Rampage developer Vblank Entertainment is working on a Wii U game.
With the announcements that the PS4 and Xbox One will be region free, many looked to Nintendo for a change. A petition was even started with quite a bit of noise being made on the Wii U’s Miiverse. Nintendo has spoken on the issue with the following announcement:
