Good news, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, the awesome FPS we showed you a few days ago is indeed real. Blood Dragon now has an official release date and will be coming out on multiple systems including PC. If that’s not enough, this goes beyond a simple DLC, this is in fact a stand alone game that does not require Far Cry 3. Furthermore, Terminator actor Michael Biehn (Kyle Reese) will supposedly be in the game.

This is the official description for the game from the official Xbox website

“Far Cry® 3 Blood Dragon is THE Kick-Ass Cyber Shooter taking place on a bizarre open-world island crawling with evil. Welcome to an 80’s VHS vision of the future. The year is 2007 and you are Sargent Rex Colt, a Mark IV Cyber Commando who’s fighting against a cyborg army gone rogue. Your mission: get the girl, kill the baddies, and save the world. Experience every cliché of a VHS era vision of a nuclear future, where cyborgs, blood dragons, mutants, and Michael Biehn (Terminator, Aliens, Navy Seals) collide. Playing Far Cry® 3 Blood Dragon doesn’t require a copy of Far Cry® 3.”

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Steam achievements have supposedly been found as well. Additionally, it is rumored to be rated for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 (XBLA) and PC; although this has yet to be officially announced. It’s release date is May 1,2013.
