Tecmo-Koei showed off more of Team Ninja’s Dead Or Alive 5 at E3 2012. As many of you may know, DOA5 will feature the usual cast of fighters as well as the inclusion of Akira, from the Virtua Fighter series. Tecmo-Koei revealed that Sarah Bryant will also be in the game, making her the second officially announced character to make the jump from the legendary Sega fighting franchise.

A roster change isn’t the only thing Team Ninja has in store for us… The fighting mechanics have reportedly also been revamped, to allow for more sensible counter attacks during fights. Furthermore, the stages will be destructible and change during combat allowing for changes in strategy while fighting. Also, fighters will now realistically take on dirt and grime from the stages they’re fighting on. DOA5 will also include Tag Team fighting.

Team Ninja has also made a point of removing the online lobby system from DOA 4 which made players take turns to fight the winner. This has been done in hopes of providing a faster and more stable online gaming experience.

“Our team is focused on making September 25th a special ‘DOA Day‘ for all fans of intense martial arts combat,” said Yosuke Hayashi, head of Team NINJA. “As we approach the finish line for development of Dead or Alive 5, it’s exciting to see all the signature characters, fighting styles, and destructible fighting stages come together to create a powerful Dead or Alive experience.”

Namco Bandai announced at its E3 2012 Event that Snoop Dogg will have a special stage inside Tekken Tag Tournament 2. The stage features Snoop Dogg watching the fight in a throne, surrounded by scantily clad dancers and a doberman. Pimptastic to say the least. Players (or “playa’s” if you will) who preorder the game at certain retailers will be able to have his stage unlocked early as a bonus.

Namco and Snoop Dogg have taken this collaboration a step further and even made a new song called “Knoc Em Down“. Sure enough, the video for this song features many familiar Tekken things happening and a hook that repeats “Tekken a second to blow your mind.”

Snoop Dogg, who appeared at the E3 event proudly told the audience thatTekken has always been a special game to me.” He also said that he appreciated the series for its realistic “street fighting” and for not being a “gimmick”.

Check out the trailer which includes clips of the new song:

Microsoft showed off the new game in the Gears of War series… Gears of War: Judgement. It is a prequel to the entire series and goes over the stories of Augustus Cole and Damon Baird. Check out the E3 trailer below:

Very few details were announced at Microsoft’s Pre E3 2012 press conference.I’m sure we can expect plenty of Locust killing and lots of explosions. Let’s just hope that they come up with some new game design ideas, level designs and enemy designs, because Gears of War 3 felt like the series was being dragged on without much innovation.

Microsoft and developer, People Can Fly, have scheduled Gears of War: Judgement for release some time in 2013 for XBOX360.
